Attention all GTAQ Members and Geographers:

March Professional Development Opportunity: AGTA and GTAQ Mini Conference

This is an amazing opportunity to hear from leading Geography educators and curriculum designers from around the country. The combination of presenters and topics have never before been offered in a PD in Queensland and we would strongly encourage all members and associate members to attend along with anyone responsible for teaching within the Humanities disciplines.

Topics covered will include:

  • The place of Geography in the Australian Curriculum

  • Using inquiry methods to increase technical skills and increase intellectual engagement
  • Unpacking middle school Geography
  • Strategies and practical tips for incorporating field work within classes
