DESCRIPTION:http://gtaq.com.au/event-1945562\n\n2015 Annual GTAQ Conference\n      "Doing Geography"   \n   \n   GTAQ is inviting GEOGRAPHY TEACHERS (Experienced\, beginning or Pre-service) to its annual conference.\n        An exciting new look GTAQ Conference at QUT\, Gardens Point\, brought to you by GTAQ and our major sponsor Murray Darling Basin Authority.\n    “Doing Geography” is the theme for the GTAQ 2015 Annual Conference\, with a focus on taking geography beyond the classroom as well as some practical ideas to bring into your classroom. Building on the feedback from last year there are a number of teacher presenters as well as exciting new content workshops\, all designed to allow you a take-away idea\, for immediate implementation. \n   \n  Keynote speakers\, William Cartwright presenting a seminar on Neo-Cartography\, will inspire you and your students to become map makers and Mellini Sloan will facilitate a series of short presentations on a range of geographic issues. \n   \n  Three Friday fieldwork options are geared towards both the AC and the Senior Queensland curriculum .\n  Option One (full day) – SEQ Water – Wivenhoe/Mt Crosby\;\n  Option Two(half day)– Urban Environment Education Centre –“Follow the Crowd” - A field trip for the Year 9 Unit “Geographies of Interconnections” and\n  Option Three (full day)  – Second Nature (click link) – “Paddock to Plate” -  designed to support Year 9 “Biomes and Food Security” unit.\n      \n  \n   \n  GTAQ Member early-bird $170\n  Non-Member early-bird $220\n  Primary Teacher early-bird $100\n  Pre-service teacher $40\n   \n  Go to the GTAQ website for registration\n
