Professional Learning Day

This Professional Development opportunity will guide you through simple data collection methods using free Geographic Information System (GIS) technology available to all schools through Esri Australia’s GIS for Schools Program.

We will guide you through everything you need to know to integrate GIS into your next field work – from understanding the technology, presenting maps and results, and integrating geospatial technology into an existing field report task.

This workshop will introduce you to a range of free geo technologies – including how to:

easily integrate GIS into your classroom
use location analytics to make web apps
collect meaningful data in the field using your mobile phone!
